“I chose this nursing home for my aunt’s 1 month respite stay while I travelled overseas in August 2025. After visiting several facilities, this home stood out for its clean, welcoming environment . The residents appeared well cared for and alert. The menu shown to me was varied and contained familiar items my aunt is accustomed to. The flexible visiting hours also provided peace of mind. I felt confident my aunt was well cared for and have since recommended this home to others.”

“In August 2022, my sister Angela and I were given the name of a new nursing home. We were looking for a home for our dad who was 90 years old and suffering from dementia. The name of the home was Tender Hearts Retreat Villa. Angela made the initial contact and then we both went to do a site visit and meet Sue and Rosie (aka the sisters). From the moment we met them, we were very comfortable with them, loved the openness and airiness of the property, loved the nurses. It felt like we were moving daddy from one home to another. It was an emotional and difficult decision, but with Sue and Rosie at the helm, we knew that they would take good care of him and the decision was made to move him to the home the first week of September. Angela would often say to me that when her time came, she wanted to have Sue and Rosie take care of her 😊.
Anytime I visited, daddy was clean and tidy, his bed and room were always neat and clean. One of our favourite features, was being included in the group chat and seeing what great meals were being cooked and given to all the patients. Daddy was always a lover of food, and his appetite was very good, he enjoyed the meals immensely. We would often joke that we were coming for lunch, and they would always say come on up.
When it came to sickness, Sue and Rosie were on the phone to update and advise whether nurse care was adequate or if we required a doctor’s visit. In the middle of November 2022, daddy took ill and eventually had to be admitted to Bayview Hospital for 3 or 4 days. He returned to the home on 22 November and sadly died the very next day. But we felt blessed that even though we could not be with him, a nurse recognised that he was nearing the end of his life and stayed with him holding him hand until his last breath.
Even though daddy is no longer at the home, I have remained in the chat and recommend the home to anyone who is seeking great care for their loved one. Somehow, with the sisters, that very difficult decision doesn’t seem so hard when you know that they are there to take care of your loved ones. I still get to see the incredible and nutritious meals and get invited to the celebrations. I still feel a part of the family, some three years later.
So, if you are looking for a nursing home, look no further. Chat with Sue and Rosie, ask all the questions you need to, to make yourself feel comfortable. Then let them take some of the burden from your shoulders and take care of your loved one.”

“Choosing a retirement home for a loved one is one of the most important and difficult decisions a family can make. For our family, finding this home has been an extraordinary gift.
This home is owned and operated by two nurses, Rosita and Suzette, and their professional experience is one of its greatest strengths. Their medical knowledge is evident in how they manage complex care needs; interpret physicians’ recommendations; and respond confidently in emergency situations. This expertise has provided our family with tremendous peace of mind.
From our very first interaction, they treated my mother as a person, not a condition. She has consistently been met with patience, compassion, and genuine respect. Every resident is cared for with dignity, and the culture of kindness within the home is immediately apparent.
Since moving here, my mother has shown remarkable improvement. The quality of both the care and the meals is exceptional. The owners take great care in planning their menus, offering thoughtfully prepared meals that are different for each day of the year. This attention to detail reflects their deep commitment to residents’ comfort, health, and overall quality of life.
Most recently, they went above and beyond by personally escorting my mother to the hospital and arranging round-the-clock care for her. Their presence, support and guidance during such a stressful time meant more to our family than words can express.
This is not simply a place to live, but a place where people are truly valued and cared for. I am deeply grateful for the compassion, professionalism, and dedication they show every day. I would wholeheartedly recommend this home to any family seeking exceptional care for their loved one.“
